  Kim Victoria Cattrall (born 21 August 1956) is an British and Canadian actor from Canada and the UK. Her role in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is her most well-known role. She was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002, she received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. The role was reprised in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2011). Cattrall made her debut in film in Rosebud (1975) and was later seen in several TV roles.
