Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 was an English actress. She is also a director, model, activist and actress. Wright is most famous for her performance in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She remained as the character for 10 years prior to her move to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Wright was seen in several independent films after the Harry Potter series. These films were met with mixed reviews. She was the stage's first lead actress in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. After graduating from the university of the Arts in London in 2012, she began making short films with her production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film as a director was the coming-of age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) featuring David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical applause. She also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films focused on emotion and landscape as themes. Wright's three-part series Phone Calls, which was presented at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. The show is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos, and has been acknowledged for her environmental advocacy.
