Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18, 1979. She is best known for her roles in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara The Darkness. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. While attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville the actress began performing in a variety of college, amateur, and professional theatre productions. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and followed that with an MFA in Acting from the New York University's Tisch School for the Arts.Swallow started her career in Broadway theatre performing in various productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off-Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's show Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. The actress won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the play Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman created an original stage show titled Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around the hilarious misadventures of Swallow and Jac Huberman when they confront a variety of issues in their lives to various degrees of success.
