Rosamund Pike

Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She is the only child of a classical violinist mom Caroline (Friend) and an opera singer father Julian Pike. Due to their job, she spent much of her childhood touring around Europe. Pike attended Badminton School in Bristol, England and began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 years old when she was cast in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then spotted by an agent and signed. Her first film was a large-budget action movie. However, her subsequent film work was primarily in independent films, such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). For which she was awarded the award for Best Supporting Actress prize at The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) included Pike in the role of one of the Bennet girls. After the action film Doom (2006) and the suspense film Fracture (2007), Pike had a brief appearance in Hollywood film. In the end, she returned to smaller films and starred in some impressive performance in three films: An Education (2008) as well as Made in Dagenham (2010) and the lead role alongside Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010). In 2012, Pike portrayed the role of Andromeda in the sci-fi epic Wrath of the Titans (2012). Alongside Tom Cruise as her female lead in Jack Reacher (2012), she was back in action films.
