Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Burrell is host of the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef along with being the host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, reveals basic techniques anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top restaurants that are located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food at young age. After receiving an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. According to her "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Culinary Institute of America student. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every day." I couldn't learn or do enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the concepts of Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact on her food viewpoint. Burrell was on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children who are facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. As an inspirational speaker, she travels across the nation to promote her love for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate having the opportunity to communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.
